State-by-State Guide to US Vaping Laws
Since vaping came on to the scene over 10 years ago there have been many legislative changes governing their use. In this guide, we will be covering vaping laws in each particular state so you know where it is and isn’t permissible.
Some states don’t have any laws in place just yet but that’s always subject to change, especially with the FDA and Big Tobacco involved. Even though there may not be state-wide laws in place it’s important to note that there may be local vaping regulations in your area. For example, Alaska doesn’t have any statewide vaping laws, but the city of Juneau have vaping legislation that prevents vaping in the workplace. Similarly, even though some states may have statewide vaping regulations, this doesn’t necessarily prevent a local government from passing further vaping laws.
In addition, even if a town or city allows vaping, the decision is up to the business owner’s discretion whether they will permit vaping in their establishments. Do the right thing and always ask before you assume it’s ok to vape while out and about. The list below is a guide to show where vaping is prohibited.
